It's astounding to me that so few gallery apps do this. In album view, show photos in their original ratios without cropping them to squares. I'm on Nexus 6, Nougat.Įasily hide and exclude folders, secured with pin or pattern Now, there are some features in QuickPic I've come to depend on so much that I couldn't possibly move to another app that doesn't have them, so I will list them here-but a serious bug report first: I can't seem to swipe between pictures in your app at the moment! I can view them one by one, going back to the album, clicking on another one, then going back again and so on, but nothing happens when I try to swipe left or right on a picture. Cheers everybody, and have fun! Īs someone who still uses QuickPic 4.5.2 as his primary gallery app, I wholeheartedly support your endeavour! Expect beta-2 to come very shortly, because I'll fix any bugs people can find as fast as I can. I hope everyone appreciates my hard work (Seriously, this was about two weeks of all nighters) and sees the potential Cluttr has! If you feel that you want to donate to the project, there is a in-app donate menu. From there on, any loading will be instant. The very first time Cluttr loads a photo it will be added to cache. Caching for albums is top on my to do list for beta 2, that way everything is nearly instant. Once it's loaded though, it should be nearly instant. This means that a large (5k+) album may take a half second or so to load initially. Right now, media is cached, albums are not. I won't be satisfied until Cluttr is the fastest gallery on Android. I am particularly interested in performance. I implemented the top two requested features from a poll in my G+ Community first, beta 2 will be jam packed with more features! Please, report them here! Don't be afraid to tell me! Link is at the bottom, but please let me make some things clear: I just pushed the update to the Google Play store, it will take a hour or so before it's available to everyone (Until it's rolled out by the play store, you'll get a dead link, just try again in half a hour). I posted this a few weeks ago on r/AndroidApps and the support was overwhelming, giving me even more motivation to make this project as amazing as possible! But, it's at the point where it's ready for a beta, and I'm eager for community feedback, and what kind of features you guys want to see! I've made a Google+ community for anyone who is interested. Cluttr is in very early stages, I've only been working on this for about two weeks. I personally was busy with other projects at the time, but now, I do have the time, and nobody else has yet made a decent replacement, so I've picked up the torch and began working on a replacement. After the tragedy that was Quickpic's sale, I patiently waited to see if any developers would take up the torch and write a replacement.
